WEB EXCLUSIVE: ALASKA!

Okay,.. so I like Alaska!\'s new album. But I ain\'t a pussy or nothing! I mean, I\'m not some macho-nacho frat-monkey, either! I\'m just saying, I\'m not this emo, indie rocker twit with big, black hair. Alright, I\'ve got big, black hair,.. but it\'s not dyed! It\'s natural! So anyway, Alaska!\'s new album is called Emotions. Yeah, I know it sounds like whiney sappy crap, but it\'s not. I mean, some of it is sappy, but there\'s a really nice simplicity to it. It\'s somewhere between country music, indie rock, and a lazy Sunday afternoon. It\'s just really melodic, all around. The soft strumming of guitar, and the light, airy vocals are soothing, kinda like bathing in milk. What\'s that? Where\'s my tight black t-shirt and brown pants? Dude, shut up! It\'s not even like that! I am not, I repeat, NOT a sensitive art school freshman! Okay, so I did go to that Modest Mouse concert,.. but my girlfriend was into them! It was her idea! Oh, whatever! I wear that jacket \'cause it\'s cool! Not because I saw it in that Sebadoh video! Fucker! You know what? I don\'t care what you think. I\'m still gonna rock out to Emotions. Well, I won\'t exactly \"rock out\". But still, it\'s nice music to work to. And I think Alaska!\'s an alright band. So there!
