Franklin,
I was thinking about re-wallpapering my apartment, but was unsure as to how to remove the old wallpaper. Any advice? Also, do you think I should invest the time in this project (since I am moving to Colorado next fall) or just live with the old paper? I was also thinking that I could just paint over the old paper.
Thanks,
Gordon Hamilton

Gordon,
I feel that you may be confused, as this is an advice column for matters of the heart. Your question would be better answered by someone like Senior Times columnist Mr. Handy Person, or perhaps a friendly wall-covering store employee. Normally I would not respond to questions outside of my expertise, but since I only received two letters this month, I will try and help. First off, you should forget painting over the old paper, as the paint would not cover well. You would be left with unsightly gaps, and the paper would start to peel. Instead you should remove the old paper with an industrial grade sandblaster. Good luck and take care.
Franklin,
My girlfriend and I have been dating for three years now, and everything is going great. She is warm and kind and the funniest person I know. Yep. Everything is going great.
Happy in Grove City,
Evan Strewl

Evan,
You stupid sod, what the hell do you want? In no way, shape, or form have you posed a question. I would strongly suggest that you either go back to school, or start tooting your horn to people who actually give a damn. Lots of people have "great" relationships. In fact, some people even get married or write to advice columnists to ask whether or not they should get married. People also have problems. That is why I offer this column. So that people can write to ask for advice. What kind of last name is Strewl anyway?
