BALTIMORE, MD - To appease the black community, the NAACP has created an African-American version of sitcom star Kelsey Grammer.
“For too long it has been assumed that certain characters and icons in American culture were white,” said Board of Directors member, Marjorie R. Green. “This is simply not true. We are trying to turn that thought process around, and feel that making an African-American version of Kelsey Grammer is a step in the right direction.”
Similar to the African-American Jesus and Santa Claus, African-American Kelsey Grammer was created to give the black community yet another talented entertainer to relate to.
“I liked him on Cheers and Frasier,” said Lee Greenfield, a black barber. “I always thought he was funny, but I really couldn’t relate to him very well. I sure am glad there is a black Kelsey Grammer now. Now I can relate.”
The black Kelsey Grammer is set to star in a new sitcom called Brotha Frasier this fall on the UPN.
The white Kelsey Grammer could not be reached for comment.
