It's finally here. The movie everyone has been waiting for! I have never seen a book/movie that has so many people, old and young alike, in such an uproar. Unlike most films, Harry Potter sticks very close to the book. There are some minor story changes that helped to keep the movie at its 2½ hour running time. It might be good for all the kids that read the book to see how rewarding reading can be: you always get more from the book. The movie is great, and the story doesn't drag in any way. I did have one small problem with the film. It's not that big of a deal, but there was some horrible CGI animation. It seemed like there was a lot of choppy motion, which really shouldn't be an issue in this day and age. In the Quidditch flying sequences, they mix live action with CGI, but not in the way you would think. At times, the actors are real and the next they are 100% CGI. It also seemed at times as if the scale of the character would change with the format. The sad thing is that I was really into the movie. But the first CGI glitch broke the illusion. As bad as all this sounds, it really doesn't take away from the film. It's like when we were kids watching Clash Of The Titans; it's fantasy. It doesn't have to look real for you to enjoy it.
