What more could pro-skater Tony Hawk possibly want in life? I mean, the guy is to skating what I am to male pattern baldness. He\'s got everything, right? So what else could he possibly want? His own radio show? Well, guess what? He got it.
July 20th marked the debut of Demolition Radio on SIRIUS Faction, and The Hawkman is your guest DJ. \"What is SIRIUS Faction?\" you ask? Well, Faction is a brand-spanking-new music channel created by SIRIUS especially for action sports enthusiasts. And the best part of it all? It\'s uncensored and commercial-free. You don\'t have to worry about Tony and his gang talking like they\'re doing a Saturday morning kids\' show.
Tony\'s got a pretty sweet deal. He\'s got his very own custom-designed radio studio at his new practice facility in Cali, which means he\'ll be broadcasting from his own pad. And that makes for good radio. Why? Because he\'ll get to do whatever the fuck he wants. If Tony wants to listen to a little bit of Tom Jones, Tony puts on a little Tom Jones. If Tony wants to talk about last night\'s ball game/made-for-TV-movie/meal, Tony talks about it. And if some of Tony\'s celebrity buddies happen to stop by the studio, well, chances are you\'ll know it.
From Tony himself: \"I am very excited about doing a show on SIRIUS Satellite Radio. Music has always been a huge part of what I do, and now I can share my influences and experiences with the world. It will also fit in perfectly with SIRIUS Faction\'s diverse format. Expect to hear interviews with interesting guests, and a wide range of music from my world.\"
Tony\'s Demolition Radio has endless possibilities because anything goes. And with additional star athletes slated to get their own shows in the near future, it looks as if SIRIUS has a golden product on their hands.
