STREET VALUE ROADSHOW ''BLOWIN' UP''

With the huge success of PBS’ Antiques Roadshow, we all knew it wouldn’t be long until other similar shows started popping up. The first to surface is UPN’s Street Value Roadshow, starting this September. Similar to Antiques, people swarm to convention centers to get their goods appraised. However, Street Value takes it up a notch. On Street Value, “sales people” bring in street drugs to have a price quoted.
Says Stan Stankowski, a UPN representative, “The attendance at the convention centers has been amazing. Within the first week we had a 16-year-old runaway who happened upon some heroin in a drug transaction gone bad. He was amazed to find out that the two suitcases were worth nearly $1.2 million! He cried when he found out how much it was worth. Then he shot up.”
Some criticism has already tarnished the show. “Sales people” have accused the show of unfairly quoting bogus prices.
“Dis motherfucker said dis shit I had was only wurt $15. After da show he offered me $20 cuz he said he felt bad bout it. So I took it and thought I got a deal. Come to find out that shit was pure Columbian! Wurt over $200,000! Shit! I’m gonna kill that somnabitch!”
