THE MANSON FAMILY VISITS AGAIN

The Angel of Death himself, Marilyn Manson, is on tour again, and I had the honor of being invited to his latest show. I was a little hesitant at first, but was looking forward to seeing the showmanship of Marilyn’s stage act. His music videos are always a nice look into the mind of a goth kid, but I never thought it could be reproduced on stage. The show was great! It boggles the mind that Marilyn Manson, a.k.a "The Prince of Darkness", eats at McDonald’s and shops at Bath & Body Works, yet somehow maintains his evil exterior. He’s like Dr. Evil, really being evil. I guess that makes Marilyn a magician as well as a musician. He has the ability to make goth kids and churchgoers really believe he’s evil. Speaking of churchgoers, there was a group of them there protesting this fine event. Getting back to the stage show, every song had a new set and look; from classic Manson hits to some new ones from his new CD, Holy Wood. It was a little weird walking into the black sea of jumping goth kids. However, it was cool to see the scope of the audience; everyone from “I-Wish-I-Were-Dead” goth kids to “I’m-Here-With-My-Kid-So-He/She-Will-Listen-To-Me” parents. This concert had it all.
