My daddy wasn’t born in Columbus, but I have spent all of my life here. When I think of Columbus, I think of things like campus riots, Dave Kaylor, and High Street. High Street is a really cool place to hang out and stuff. Don’t let those morons at Campus Partners fool you. There are a billion million things to do on High Street. And this man named Aaron Leventhal wants to make sure that you know all about High Street. That’s why he created the High N’ Seek Treasure Hunt and Pub Crawl. You may know Mr. Leventhal from when he was in charge of Oktoberfest. My daddy used to take me there. He would get hammered and we would ride in the spinning barrel together. That was fun! But the High N’ Seek Treasure Hunt is his new project. What it does is, on Saturday, May 11th, he wants to get as many people on High Street as possible. The event will show how High Street is an exciting place to eat, shop and be entertained. There are nine neighborhood stops along High Street, from Merion Village to Worthington. There will be entertainment at the stops, including clowns and dancers. Make sure to bring your kids! It goes from noon to 5:00pm and proceeds will benefit the High Street Fund. That means that part of the money you spend will go back into the businesses on High Street to make sure that it is around for a long time. You can buy tickets for the Treasure Hunt at BP Connect (on the corner of South High and Greenlawn) and at the Worthington Village Green for $5, and that lets two people go! What a deal! After the Treasure Hunt you can go to the Corona Pub Crawl. This is for adults only because kids can’t drink. Like the Treasure Hunt, there are nine stops on the Pub Crawl. You can buy tickets for the Pub Crawl for $5 at any of the following places on May 11th: Taverna Opa, Plank’s Bier Garten, High Beck Tavern, The Main Bar, Big Daddy’s, Betty’s Fine Food & Spirits, Bernie’s Bagels, Eldorado’s and La Chatelaine. So get on High Street on May 11th and have some fun!
