THE BATTLE OF SHAKER HEIGHTS

The Battle of Shaker Heights is the newest film created by the Project Greenlight program. Unlike its predecessor, this is actually a good movie. It probably helped not having that hack Kevin Pollak in it, but any movie without Kevin Pollak is good to me.
The Battle of Shaker Heights is a coming-of-age story about a war reenactor who falls in love with a seemingly unattainable girl. The star of this show? Everyone's favorite up-and-coming actor, Shia LaBeouf. Shia steals the show, shaking his Disney-fied, wholesome Even Stevens image, and proves to the audience that he can hold his own on the big screen.
Shia definitely has one hell of a career ahead of him, and doesn't seem to be letting this newfound fame go to his head. Despite the fact that he's currently working on a big budget film with Will Smith, called I, Robot, a little film like The Battle of Shaker Heights was important enough to him to warrant spending his evening at the post-show Q & A. He got a standing ovation, and was taken aback by the show of support, to which he responded, "This is fucking awesome!" And it was.
Man, it kind of makes me want to buy a Shia LaBeouf t-shirt. But where could someone buy such an item? Wait a minute! There's one right here! Holy shit! I'm going to buy one right now!
