Loyal fans of me, Judas Cow, may not know this, but the folks at tastes like chicken sexually abuse me with a jump rope. Not only that, I\'m also forced to review gems like Richard Simmons Sweats To The Blues. So when I get a disc that is good, it makes my job that much easier. The Only Constant Is Change is that proverbial sunshine on my rainy day.
This compilation is a collection of rare B-sides, unreleased, and live tracks. Generally, I fucking hate compilations, but unlike most, it\'s hard to skip over any particular track on this one. The mix of sounds is eclectic, with unapologetic political live anthems like Pennywise\'s \"My Own Country\", aggressive, teeth-grinding ditties like ASG\'s \"Destination Motel Mind Decay\", and obtuse songs like Piebald\'s \"There And Back Again\".
Because a lot of these songs are rare or unreleased, they have an underproduced, live-in-the-studio feel, which is a godsend compared to the slick, radio-friendly shit of today. It all boils down to good mathematics: with 46 songs, there is bound to be something anyone will like. Unless, of course, you are fucking deaf.
