BLOODHOUND GANG

The Bloodhound Gang is known for their satirical look at life. I had the chance to see these satirists’ most recent performance at the Newport Music Hall, and I must say I was not disappointed. A humongous banner with the name Metallica crossed out and Bloodhound Gang written over it hung behind the band. The heavy bass beat of a drum played while they took the stage. I squeezed up to the stage to witness the first audience participation event. It was so hilarious it made me almost short my optic circuits. They took a guy from the crowd and offered him $100 if he could eat 20 Big Macs by the end of the show without vomiting. It wasn’t long before the audience was practically rioting as the band started up again, playing hits from their newest album and old classics as well. Women were asked to come up on stage and dance to “The Vagina Song”. They were then offered $20, a t-shirt, and a backstage pass if they would kiss each other on stage. Needless to say, there were about 20 girls making out with each other and the band. The Gang put on the most hilarious and amazing stage act I’ve seen in a very long time. Two-thirds of the way through the show, the Big Mac kid had downed 15 burgers and was beginning to show signs of slowing. Crowd surfers were finally allowed on stage for an all out sing-and-dance-fest, while the slow-comers were thrown back into the pit. I took about ten kicks to the head by the time the song had finished, but I liked it. By now, the burger kid had thrown up into a bag and was offered one last chance for $20 if he could roll a quarter off his nose into a beer funnel, which was stuck in his pants. The only catch was he had to have his eyes closed. As soon as his eyes were closed, an entire half-gallon of milk was poured into his pants. *NSYNC moves were performed while the band wore costumes mocking Slipknot. And the show was complete with an encore performance of “Humans”. I can say it was one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen and would highly recommend it to anyone.
