Hasbro’s 12-inch Star Wars line is a great way to blow $20. Accurate accessories, detailed faces, and well-crafted outfits that can be removed to reveal well-chiseled plastic bodies,.. what was I saying? Oh! These toys are well worth the money. Their newest release is a Dagobah Training Luke and Yoda gift pack. With his well-sculpted plastic boots, space cargo pants (with real pockets!), and fashionably stained wife-beater, Luke is ready to complete his Jedi trials. He even comes with a keen backpack with real straps to carry Yoda on his back, while he leaps from treetop to treetop. And with 20 points of articulation, this boy is definitely ready for a rousing chorus of “YMCA”. All that aside, Yoda is the real jewel of this set. He has a frighteningly accurate sculpted face, and a really nice outfit to boot. He even comes with his gimmer stick (“walking stick”, to the layman) and a really swell Jedi necklace (the biggest thing for all the Jedi queens of the galaxy). He even has the cutest little legs under that tattered robe of his. Unfortunately, this set does have a few flaws. The paint job on Yoda’s face could have been better. It makes him look like he spent a long night rolling around in a Memphis mud pit with a bunch of big-breasted, scantily clad prostitutes. Yoda does know how to get busy! Luke’s likeness doesn’t quite look like Mark Hamill, either. After all is said and done, this is a pretty sweet set. I give it a 7.24. Keep ‘em coming, Hasbro.
