The Spider Who Never Gave Up is a touching short story given to us by an endearing young man named Travis Flores. Travis has had many hurdles to overcome in his short life, and hopes this book will serve as inspiration to any downtrodden individual who is trapped in an inescapable well of self-pity.

You see, at birth, Travis was diagnosed with the incurable disease Cystic Fibrosis. Instead of getting upset, Travis became a beacon of hope. Never bowing to this disease and never losing hope that a cure would soon be discovered, he instead decided to live each day to the fullest and concentrate on his blessings from God-- such gifts as his loving family, his joy for sports, and his unbelievable talent for writing.

So, when approached by the Make-A-Wish Foundation, the only wish he wanted was the chance to impart his zest for life to the rest of the world. Such noble intentions are very rare, especially in a world where violent acts of barbarism occur far too often.

The Spider Who Never Gave Up centers around a young spider named Sparkey and his inability to spin a web. Lucky for Sparkey, his mother wouldn’t let him give up, and the story goes on to chronicle his labor to complete the unattainable task. I don’t want to give away the end to you all, but let\'s just say it will uplift you and put a smile on your face.

The book is also fully illustrated by
Michelle Ciappa. Her quirky, colorful drawings are a nice complement to the story.

The Spider Who Never Gave Up will be a treasured addition to your child’s library. With such a touching story, it is destined to become a classic bedtime story for all time.
