SAMMYTOWN JONES - SCREWED AGAIN

Note to all up-and-coming punk rock bands interested in sending me your CD: check out Sammytown Jones. This is the kind of stuff I like-- tough, fast, growling, diesel-fuel-and-fried-chicken good-time punk rock. Screwed Again is their six song EP, showcasing exactly what happens when you do a shot of whiskey-country spirit and wash it down with a gallon-jug-sized punk rock chaser. Just check out the 100mph “Headless Corpse” or the punktry slowdance of “No One’s Cryin’”, and tell me I’m wrong. It’s like an East Coast answer to The Swingin’ Utters, who I hold in very high regard.

So, if you find yourself wearing a lot of eyeliner or hugging one of your arms at any point while on stage, keep your fucking CD. Whiny emo shit belongs in a Hilary Duff movie, not my stereo. Sammytown Jones, however, can keep spinning in my CD player.
