Unfortunately, I lost the press release for this Every Last Windmill Shall Fall record, so I can\'t tell you about the singer\'s favorite flavor of jelly bean and why the popcorn ones make him cry.
What I can tell you is that, as far as a contemporary emo/indie record with musical stylings in the vain of Modest Mouse (and vocal stylings that strangely remind me of John Flansburg), this is a pretty good record.
Not good in the sense of original or powerful, but kind of like driving to the health food store when you could just as easily ride your bike. It is convenient and accessible. With a few listens, you\'ll be singing along and perhaps even humming to yourself while waiting in one of life\'s many lines. You know, the kind of lines that can only be made better by some quality humming... or a flying pig.
One of the strong points of the album is its ability to switch fairly effortlessly between contemporary, catchy rock and hypnotic ambience. At the very least I would strongly suggest you check out their website to see if you wouldn\'t be interested in going from there.
