Here at tastes like chicken we get a lot of materials to review. A ton, actually. And, well, not everything that comes our way is golden... or even a current release. In fact, sometimes we get stuff that came out over a year ago. And after awhile, all the old albums and bad music really starts to wear on you. And here is proof. Read on as TLC writer Bethany Shady goes a little nuts with four quick reviews.
THE VOODOO KINGS - AMERICAN LIGHTS (LAME-O Records)
Release Date: THIS FUCKING CD CAME OUT IN 2002! I WASN\'T EVEN BORN YET!!!
THE GRADE: H (for \"Horsepussy\")
BRENDAN BENSON - THE ALTERNATIVE TO LOVE (V2 Records)
Release Date: March 22nd, 2005
Get out the Wheat Thins, \'cause this album is cheeseball! Eight words, people: \"Every bubble you blow, I\'m gonna pop it\". Wow... this dude\'s a lyrical genius.
THE GRADE: D
BLOC PARTY - SILENT ALARM (Vice Records)
Release Date: March 22nd, 2005
If you took the short, balding hairs of Devo and braided in some nappy weave of Interpol, you\'d have Bloc Party. Their poppy/indie-rock sound and British accents are sure to win them tons of poon in the UK and the States.
THE GRADE: C
THEY WALK THE LINE - MEDICAL NECESSITIES (Impress Media)
Release Date: February 8th, 2005
I didn\'t write a review for this since it was released almost two months ago.
