A CHANGE OF PACE - PREPARE THE MASSES (Immortal Records)
Starting out with spooky violin, A Change of Pace\'s Prepare the Masses is filed with amazing pop/ punk songs (or as everyone today would now call \'emo.\') Fans of bands like Spitalfield or Hawthorne Heights (minus the occasional screams) will really like this album. A Change of Pace will probably be pretty will known in the near future.
THE SHYS - ASTORIA (Sire Records)
The Shys\' Astoria has an indie/pop-rock sort of sound. Every song on this record differs from the next, but they\'re similar enough that they still have their own sound. Some songs, like \"Waiting on the Sun\" have piano in them, which i think makes it more unique sounding. The Shys sort of remind me of a cross between Franz Ferdinand/ Hot Hot Heat and the Rolling Stones. So fans of either of those bands will probably like this record.
VARIOUS ARTISTS - THE BEST OF BEYOND WARPED (Immergent Records)
The Vans Warped Tour has been around since 1995, and has had many different types of bands touring it. The live performances at Warped are always amazing, and are now on cd. The Best of Beyond Warped has many different punk songs on it, from bands like The Phenomenauts and Blackfire. You won\'t be dissappointed with this cd if you\'re into this kind of punk music. Just listening to it reminds me of how fun it is to be at warped. This all live record is worth getting.
