Looking for something to do this summer? Well, here are two very different options. First, those crazy ekoostik hookah kids are up to their shenanigans again with the 15th installment of Hookahville. This year the fun happens at Frontier Ranch in Kirkersville, Ohio on Memorial Day weekend (May 25th through the 27th). And they’ve got a great line-up of acts this year. In addition to two nights of ekoostik hookah fun, Hookahville XV features live performances by The Radiators, Donna the Buffalo and the Dirty Dozen Brass Band. Also gracing the stage will be country legend Willie Nelson and New Orleans musician Dr. John. Tickets are on sale now for $60 and will be available at the door for $70. Frontier Ranch is located just 15 miles east of Columbus. Visit the hookahville website at hookahville.com or call 1-888-TIXX-100 for more info. The second event is the Columbus Human Rights Campaign Dinner, and it is being held on Saturday, June 2nd at the Hyatt Regency Ballroom in Downtown. The HRC is a national organization that works to ensure fairness in the workplace, prevent hate crimes, end discrimination, fight HIV and AIDS and promote awareness of women’s health. This year’s event, themed “One Us,” will feature singer, actor and television personality Rupaul. Joining Rupaul for the evening, as the Master of Ceremonies will be comedienne Suzanne Westenhoefer. Tickets are $160 per person, but discounted tickets are available for students and parents. Tickets can be ordered by calling 1-800-474-TIXS.
