WASHINGTON, D.C. - Once again, the nation's top intelligence sources were too late. Hurricane Isabel, which struck the Atlantic coastline last month, has been discovered to be yet another plot against Americans.

Top ranking officials are working night and day to make the connection.

"As everyone knows, 'Isabel' begins with an 'I'. So does 'Iraq'," said Warren Hathing, a cryptologist with the National Security Agency. "Also, 'R' comes right before 'S'. And then there's an 'A', which was a pretty bold move. We're still working on the rest of it, but we think this means something."

President Bush was unavailable for comment, as he was busy counting his teeth.
