PINK GREASE - THIS IS FOR REAL
CD review by Night Watchman

If I told you a band sounded like a 1980's version of the New York Dolls and the Rolling Stones, you’d probably be all over it, right? I thought the same thing until I heard Pink Grease’s This Is For Real.

It should be everything I’m looking for in an album, but for some reason it didn’t do a damn thing for me. You’ve got neo-Eighties' synths with T-Rex guitars and high energy, but it just seems tired. Like an album full of filler material, it lacks anything that would make me want to listen to it ever again.

I’m sure that someone out there would dig this, but that person just isn’t me. So if any of the above descriptions sound good to you, go check it out. Maybe you’ll think I’m crazy, maybe this is the best album of the year, but all it did was make me yawn.
