SUPER FURRY ANIMALS - PHANTOM PHORCE
CD review by Sal Swayzo

I should be honest: I may not be best person in the world to review Super Furry Animals' remix album, Phantom Phorce. You see, I do not believe I ever heard SFA's original music before it was remixed. Maybe a few times my older, stronger brother would try to get me to take a listen, but I seriously don't remember. So I'll try my best not to sound ignorant. Otherwise, my bro might bitch-slap me the next time I see him. Here it goes....

All the way from Wales, SFA's Phantom Phorce is a delightful mix of progressive, alternative rock that you can dance to... well, kind of. There is also a good mix of rhythm and blues to stir things up, and sometimes the vocalist even starts to rap. If you are an SFA fan, I suggest you pick this one up (but you probably already have). And if you are a first-timer, consider picking up a prior, unremixed album first, and then pick this one up.

(I hope that was okay, Bob. Please, don't hurt me.)
