I heard a crack at my window. My heart skipped a beat as I thought it might be a girl. It wasn’t; it was the foundation settling. I decided to call, but from the tone of her roommate's voice I could tell she was out throwing things at someone else’s window.
After the year of our intimacy and her newfound single status, I actually thought something would happen between us other than drunken sex. I guess I was mistaken. I still want her, but she wants to be free, or someone else.
I decided to go to the bar.

Wow! These Basement Jaxx are sweet! I totally put their disc on when I get into work at Express. Kish Kash, their latest album, is wicked hot, with all of its thumping beats and super-smart sampling. Whoa, the funk in here really makes me feel close to my street roots! I mean, I stand at the store entrance (That's right, I got promoted to greeter last week!) and I can't help but twitch my boo-tay around just like I do at my favorite dance club, Fabrik.

My religion is rock 'n' roll. It consists of a community of people who can feel the touch of sound. Our sanctuaries are constantly changing when venues get shut down or prophets skip our town. We patrons keep the sound alive by getting out of our houses and entering an environment that can move our very souls.

Waking up to the 1960's sound of Belle & Sebastian with a fresh cup of coffee, the feeling of disgust with people faded slowly out of my life. It's amazing what can happen when one's life soundtrack changes. This sixth studio recording from our friends across the ocean, makes human contact and daily tasks enjoyable again. It throws me into balance. Walking down the middle of the road with isolation driving east and contact going west, nothing can throw off this mind.
